THE APPLICATION OF INTEGRATED GEOPHYSICAL METHOD TO KARST EXPLORATION

  • This paper introduces the principle of a comprehensive geophysical prospecting method combining high density resistivity method and seismic imaging in Karst exploration and its application in an area of Yunnan province.After the exploration data extraction, connection, filtering and gain adjustment, 2D inversion and topographic correction, and combined with the data of geological structure in the exploration area, the main conclusions are as follows:2 profiles of apparent resistivity show "V" type of low resistivity zone or "U" type of low resistivity zone, depth seismic reflection wave energy is weak or no reflection, karst develops fully, at the same time, based on the drilling data to validate the exploration results.Finally, the problems which should be noticed in the application of integrated geophysical method in Karst detection are pointed out.
