Abstract
This paper analyzes the influence of solar flares over M5.0 on ionosphere using ionospher data observed from January, 2011 to August, 2013 at Wuhan and Hainan station founded by Meridian Space Weather Monitoring Project. The results show that:(1)The ionograms' trace of Wuhan and Hainan station disappeared after the erupting of solar flare of class X2.2 on February 15th, 2011;Morever, there is a minimum frequency gap between a solar flare' day and a quiet day, with the former higher than the latter.(2)The class and durations of solar flare are all the main factors which have a positive effect on ionospheric electron density. It indicates that a small flare that has a long time maybe has an stronger effect on ionosphere than a big flare that has an short duration.(3)The local time of flare can also affects the increment of ionospheric electron density;the results show that a flare that occurs at noon time has a stronger effect on ionosphere.
