ANALYSIS OF TRIAL MEASUREMENT OF P2000RADON DETECTOR AT FUZHOU SEISMIC STATION

  • Simultaneous comparative observation was done to radon detector of model P2000 and model FD-125 at Fuzhou seismic station for one and half months to test whether the P2000 radon detector is suitable for earthquake radon observation.Trial measurement experiment was also done to correct the calibration of the radon calibration device. The result shows that the P2000 radon detector is a quite stable and easy operating instrument suitable for field observation. The disadvantage is that the P2000 radon detector can only measure one water sample in one measurement and will take 5~6 hours to give out two parallel observation samples.Comparative analysis of observation data indicates that though the measured radon value from P2000 is lower than FD-125, the whole pattern and changing trend of the observation are basically same.
