Investigation on Strain Characteristics of Main Fault Zone in Yunan Area Based on Cross-fault Deformation Data

  • Using cross-fault baseline observation data during 1982~2009 in Yunnan area, this paper analyzes the strain characteristics of main fault zone in Yunnan area, investigates the relationship between strain changing of fault zone and seismic activity, calculates the fault slip rate at each measuring site.The results show that the strain value of the Chuxiong-Tonghai fault zone is higher than that of the Jianchuan-Lijiang fault zone, which indicates that the impact of the main fault strain on the regional earthquake in Yunnan area has certain consistency.
