Abstract:
Through the comparative analysis of the data of VP broadband tiltmeter and broadband seismometer at the same site at Yixian seismic station, VP broadband tiltmeter at Huailai Dongliang seismic station and broadband seismometer at Shacheng seismic station with a distance of 10km, we can get:1. Time series: the NS and EW coseismic waveforms of VP broadband tiltmeter are basically consistent with the NS and EW seismic waves of broadband seismometer, and the curves have high consistency. The coseismic waveforms of the two sets of instruments can clearly distinguish P wave and S wave.2. Spectrum characteristics: when the P-wave arrives, the high-frequency signals recorded by the two sets of instruments increase instantaneously, with small amplitude, small seismic energy intensity. With the arrival of S-wave, the amplitude increases instantaneously, and increases rapidly with the rapid increase of seismic energy intensity. After the amplitude reaches the maximum value, it decreases with the attenuation of seismic energy, and the response frequency band gradually narrows.3. If the magnitude and focal depth are the same,with the change of epicentral distance, the variation amplitude of coseismic amplitude recorded by VP broadband tiltmeter is larger than that recorded by broadband seismometer.
