Source Parameter Characteristics of Different Type Earthquakes in Guangxi Area

  • 摘要: 收集来自广西地震台网的493个ML1.8以上的广西地区典型构造地震、塌陷地震和爆破事件,采用小震震源参数计算软件包解算每个地震的震源参数,在此基础上研究各类地震震源参数特征和定标关系。结果表明:构造地震和塌陷地震的应力降、地震矩与近震震级存在较好的定标关系。震级相当时,爆破比塌陷地震的应力降高1个数量级;构造地震比塌陷地震的地震矩高1个数量级,比爆破事件的地震矩高2个数量级。不同类型地震的拐角频率差别不大。上述认识可为广西地区不同类型地震识别提供参考。

     

    Abstract: In order to study the source parameters characteristics of different type earthquakes, 493 earthquakes above ML1.8 were collected from the Guangxi Seismic Network. These events are typical tectonic earthquakes, collapse earthquakes and blasting. The source parameter calculation software package for small earthquakes was used to calculate the source parameters of each earthquake. On this basis, the characteristics and scaling law relationships of various earthquake source parameters were studied. The results show that there is a good scaling law relationship between the stress drop, seismic moment and local earthquake magnitude of tectonic earthquake and collapse earthquake. When the magnitude is the same, the stress drop of blasting is an order of magnitude higher than that of collapse earthquake. The seismic moment of tectonic earthquakes is one order of magnitude higher than that of collapse earthquakes and two orders of magnitude higher than that of blasting events. The corner frequencies of different types of earthquakes have little difference. The above result may provide reference for the identification of different types of earthquakes in Guangxi.
