Abstract:
On December 5, 2019, an
M4.5 earthquake occurred in Tangshan Fengnan, the earthqe broke the
M4.5 earthquake quiescence that had last for seven and a half years. The earthquake epicenter is located in the edge of the aftershocks of 1976 Ninghe
M6.9 earthquake. Its epicenter located in the intersection part of Fengnan active faults, Jiyunhe active faults and the Ninghe -Changli active fault. Based on the structural features, the spatial and temporal images of aftershocks, and the focal mechanism data, this paper comprehensively analyzes the seismogenic background and indicative significance of the earthquake.
