CAP方法反演乳山震群3.0级以上地震震源机制解

Focal Mechanism Solution of the Rushan Earthquake Swarm Sequences over M3.0 with CAP Method

  • 摘要: 利用CAP方法(Cut and Paste Method),反演了2013年10月1日以来发生在山东乳山的地震序列中M≥3.0的9次地震震源机制解。结果显示,这9次地震的震源机制解基本一致,在震源深度分布和震中空间分布上略有差异;拟合的最佳震源深度在3.8~8.6 km的范围内,主要分布在近地表的上地壳;乳山震群的断层走向是NW向分布、倾角是NE向分布。因距已知主要断层有一定距离,故可以推断乳山地震序列区域有一条或者多条隐伏断裂。

     

    Abstract: Using the CAP (Cut and Paste Method) method, this article retrieved nine focal mechanism solutions of the earthquake swarm sequences over M3 in Rushan. The results show that these focal mechanism solutions are nearly consistent with each other, with slight differences in the distribution of focal depths and epicenters; the optimal fitting focal depths range from 3.8 kilometers to 8.6 kilometers, mainly locate in upper crust near the surface; the fault strike of Rushan earthquake swarm sequences is from north to west with the dip from north to east. Due to the distance away from the known main strikes, it is also assumed that there are one or several buried faults in Rushan earthquake area.
