水平层状介质射线追踪方法的Matlab实现

Ray Tracing Method in Horizontal Layered Medium Based on Matlab

  • 摘要: 水平层状介质中地震波走时计算在地震定位、地壳速度研究中具有重要地位。总结了水平层状介质中射线自震源追踪到台站的3种算法,采用Matlab软件编程实现了水平层状介质中的2点间射线追踪,为地震定位和平层介质速度确定提供了计算手段。对打靶法、p参数求解法和改进的p参数求解法的计算效率进行比较,发现打靶法和改进的p参数求解法可以对任意复杂的水平层状速度模型进行准确追踪,而p参数求解法只能进行小震中距的射线追踪。对于同样的模型,打靶法的计算效率较改进后的p参数求解法高。

     

    Abstract: Travel time calculation of seismic waves in horizontal stratified medium plays an important role in the earthquake location and crustal velocity studies. In this paper, 3 ray tracing methods in horizontally stratified medium are summarized and realized by using MATLAB software, and can be used to determine earthquake location and layered velocity studies. The efficiencies of the shooting method, the p parameter method and the improved p parameter method are compared. It is found that both the shooting algorithm and improved p parameter method can precisely track to the station of different epicentral distances, while the p parameter method only can track to the station of small epicentral distance. For the same layered Earth model, the shooting method is more efficiency than the improved parameter method.
