摘要: 1998年1月10日11时50分在张家口市张北县境内发生6.2级地震,宏观震中为北纬41°07",东经114°26",位于张北县大河乡与海流图乡之间。极震区烈度见度。这次地震造成49人死亡,360余人重伤,4.4万人无家可归。房屋毁坏175万多平方米,严重破坏186万余平方米,直接经济损失相当于河北省1996年国内生产总值的0.24%。

Abstract: At 11:50 am January 10, 1998, an M6.2 earthquake occurred in Zhangbei County of Zhangjiakou City, its macroscopic epicentre at 41°07' northern latitude, 114°26' eastern longitude, between DaheTownship and Hailiutu township of Zhangbei County. The intensity of the meizoseismal region is Ⅷ degree. The earthquake made 49 people died, more than 360 people injoured, 44000 people homeless. Morethan 1750000 m² of houses and rooms collapsed and more than 186000m2 heavily damaged, the direct loss is equal to 0. 24% of GDP of Hebei Province.
