Abstract: This paper studies the Cangdong Fault's tectonic movement and four aspects of Huanghua Indentation including migration of subsidence centers,formation time of the secondary tectonic unit and order of the faults striking east-west as well as basalt eruption feature in different periods.It shows that the neotectonic movement of Huanghua Indentation experiences a development process from south to north,from old to new.Seismic activity in Tianjin New Coastal Area shows a distinct zoning characteristic and mainly controlled or influenced by Cangdong Fault and Huanghua neotectonic movement.The study provides a scientific basis.
