Abstract: Based on history earthquakes and the accumulation and release of strain, the characteristic of seismicity in Shandong area is studied.The earthquake activity in the region is in a stage of releasing the remaining energy after a seismic active stage, which characterized mainly by the medium and moderately strong earthquake.According to the characteristics, the stage will last about 4 years, and many M4~5 earthquakes may occur in the stage, but the possibility that over M6 earthquakes occurs is not large.
