Abstract: Dalian and its vicinity,which have a lot of regional active tectonic zones,such as Jinzhou,Zhuanghe and Dayanghe,was more active in middle and strong earthquakes in history,and some destructive earthquakes had occurred there.Based on the regional geological structure,seismicity,crustal stress field,we discussed the consistency of the area in seismological and geological background and regional structure with the whole stress field of north China,and pointed out the potential earthquake in the area and the region that should be monitioring intensively.
