THE 2-D VELOCITY STRUCTURE OF THE UPPER MANTLE ON THE NORTH PART OF THE NORTH-SOUTH SEISMIC BELT-THE PRECISION AND RESOLUTION FOR THE SOLUTION OF THE ART TECHNIQUE

  • 摘要: 本文详细讨论了使用Pn波走时对南北地震带北段上地幔结构成象ART算法的分辨率和解的精度问题。分析了包含在实际资料中影响解精度的两大因素,给出了具体的解决办法。同时指出在该地区使用Pn波的可分辨尺度极限为25km。在分辨与方差合理折衷情况下,最佳网格化分尺寸为35-55km。计算了解的分辨矩阵和解的协方差矩阵,从而证实了文献1的结论。这些结果是初次在该区得到的,是令人满意的。

     

    Abstract: The precision and resolution of the solution of the ART technique which is used toin verse the velocity structure on the north part of the North-South seismic belt based on the pn travelling time have been discussed in detail, The two main factors involved in the observation date that could effect the above result have been analysed and the ways to overcome these problems have been suggested. The limited criterion of the resolution is 25KM for Pn-waves. The optimum choice of the grid size should be 35-55KM under the condition of the resolution and the covariance well -matched, The resolution matrix and covariance matrix corresponding to the solution have been computed, The conclusion given in another paper is directly supported by these results.
