Hebei Yongqing M4.3 Earthquake on February 12, 2018

  • 摘要: 通过对2018年2月12日河北永清4.3级地震的P波初动震源机制解和波形反演结果相互印证,得到相对可靠的震源机制解,并联合地震地质资料推测发震构造可能为河西务断裂;分析永清地震前河北平原带中南段的地震活动特征、震源机制解、视应力得出,震前存在应力场增强的动态过程;最后结合河北平原地震带中段深浅构造特征得出该地区具备发生中强地震的构造背景。

     

    Abstract: This paper gives a relatively reliable focal mechanism solution of the M4.3 earthquake in Yongqing, Hebei province on February 12, 2018 through the mutual corroboration of the result of P-wave first motion method and that of waveform inversion. And then, combining with seismic geological data, the result indicates that the Hexiwu fault may be the seismogenic structure. The analysis of seismic activity characteristics, the focal mechanism solutions and the apparent stress of the middle and south section of Hebei plain seismic belt before the yongqing earthquake shows that there is a dynamic process of stress field enhancement before the earthquake. Finally, combining with the deep and shallow structural features of the middle section of hebei plain seismic belt, the result shows that the region may has the tectonic background of strong earthquakes.
